Most OPC data sources involve accessing data from a target system over some form of communications link. Shown above, a typical OPC application has only path to the device; where its weakest link is physical connection to that device. What is needed is a simple way to add redundancy to your OPC based system. Shown below, redundant systems use multiple data sources and paths to reduce data loss. RedundancyMaster allows you to configure multiple OPC Servers into redundant pairs so that if a failure occurs in one OPC Server, RedundancyMaster automatically switches to the secondary server preserving you data collection system.

No application (Server/Client) changes required. RedundancyMaster can be dropped into your current application seamlessly.

RedundancyMaster increases the reliability and availability of OPC data by configuring OPC Servers into redundant pairs that seamlessly appear as a single OPC Server to any OPC Client application — for a very reasonable price.

RedundancyMaster can be added to an existing server/client application without any reconfiguration of the application, keeping your processes going without any down time. In addition, a new Aliasing feature allows redundancy to be added to multiple pairs of servers that use the same ProgID.

Leveraging the popularity of OPC, a RedundancyMaster enabled system uses multiple connections to a device or system to increase the reliability of data collection. By transparently mapping these redundant data paths to appear as a single OPC Server connection, RedundancyMaster can be seamlessly integrated into any existing OPC application with no changes to your client and without loss of data. This drop-in design was a key development goal.
