ALTITUDE Pilot is a design tool to develop Web Pages for the ALTITUDE Server simply and efficiently, without the prior knowledge of any Web programming language e.g. html, Java, etc. It is used to create advanced graphical models which can be linked with the ALTITUDE Manager to form a monitoring system for process and automation control projects. It has powerful project documentation capability with tag layout map feature (which shows a list of tags used on the screen and a marker showing the position on the screen where the tag is used). ALTITUDE Pilot encompasses many features to drastically reduce the engineering time in developing Web based automation solutions, while ensuring the skill sets are inline with the engineers who deploy them.

In ALTITUDE Pilot V3 there are many new exciting features which will help to enhance the usability and complexity of projects that can be constructed.

SmartComponents

• SmartComponent wizard. A wizard now guides the user through the complex process of SmartComponent creation and insertion into a library of components.
• Logic in SmartComponents. SmartComponents can contain simple AND/OR logic.
• Substitution in SmartComponents. SmartComponents may contain substitution.

Templates

• Screen templates. Screen templates allow the same foreground/background objects to be automatically placed on a number of screens.
• Screen template wizard. A wizard now guides the user through the process of screen Template creation and insertion into a library of templates.

Captions

• Engineering mode. toggles the tag between value and tag reference mode.
• Toggle between Tag Reference / Value. Auto %t (engineering) for anything with a value added in its properties. This option automatically sets the engineering mode for any object which contains a value in its properties, engineering mode allows the user to toggle the screen between showing actual tag value and tag reference.
• Engraved text with selectable foreground/engraved colour.
• Auto sized text labels. Labels auto size depending on the size of the value.
• Maximum growth on labels. Allows the designer to set the maximum allows size for auto expanding labels.
• Text marquee function. Large labels can marquee (auto scroll) if too big for the allocated area.

Groups

• Group edit function.
• Sequential grouping. Makes selected objects appear on the screen in a specified sequence.
• Actions and properties within groups.
• Improved multi select options. Items can be group selected and then if required individual elements can be removed from the selection.

Layers

• Increased Screen Layers - Number of screens layers now increased to 30 layers
• Improved layer management and labeling. Labels text can now be edited by double clicking on the layer label. Labels can be set on a per screen basis.

General

• Library of Graphical Symbols - A library of 3D building automation library symbols are now included with the product to minimise your engineering time.
• Improved Project Documentation with tag layout and map print preview. The tag layout feature shows a list of tags used on the screen and a marker showing the position on the screen where the tag is used.
• Support for Transparent Gif graphics format.
• New Toolbar items for quick access to alignment, grouping, z-order, zoom and properties.
• Floating actions form. The action form is now a floating form ( the same as for properties) with drag and drop enabled.
• Automatic opposing actions. Enables the automatic selection of opposing actions, e.g. if there is a Mouse Enter action the reverse can be automatically enabled when the Mouse Exit action occurs.
• Keyboard shortcuts (F5 to upload the last box, F4 for properties, F6 for Actions, F12 to Save as, CNTRL-S to Save Screen)
  
• Reverse animation images so that you can use 1 image rather than 2. (Animate right to left).
• Auto hand cursor on anything with a click action. This option automatically sets the hand cursor on the client screen for any object with a click action defined.
• Ability to flip images in buttons. Images on graphical buttons can be flipped.
• Thumbnail viewer for images.
• Actions for pop up graphs with selectable time span.
• Improved direct edit function. Direct edit function can now show or hide the direct edit control or can be selected by clicking on the value object.
• Property combo list box is now sorted into reverse screen z-order so new items are listed at the top.
• Engraved Lines with selectable foreground/engraved colour.
